When I first started thinking about doing a Masters in
Informational Technology I realized that there were a number of things I had
NOT done before. One of them was blogging. Maybe it was due to time
constraints, maybe it was due to some self-conscience insecurities, but
for whatever the reason, I hadn't. So, in the interest of education, I decided
to give it shot.
My first attempt
was basically a reposting of works done by others. After making several posts,
my interest in blogging quickly dwindled. I started to feel ... well, been
there, done that, what's the big deal.
So, what has
changed?
Well, first, I must complete a collector page of sorts for the
current Masters course I am working on. After seeing several great examples of blogs
done by others, I thought that a blog would be a wonderful way to collect,
organize, and share what I have been doing this term. A second reason why I
have returned to blogging is because of the students I teach. I see blogging as
holding great promise for them. Blogging has numerous educational benefits,
ones that I wish for both my students and I to avail of.
I also see blogging as having many positive personal benefits as
well. I want to explore these in greater depth through blogging and see where
this journey leads. For those of you reading this, I thank you for joining me
on this adventure.
